At first, you have to deal with smaller numbers of Freakers. Like how I used TLOU as an example of a story that didn't have any kind of "closure" but had a great pay off that made sense with where the story was going. Maybe I am not explaining myself well but it's not closure I wanted, but some sort of pay off to what they were building up to. After not too long O'Brien will radio you and ask you to meet and you get a little cut-scene. Yep, when you 'finish' the game you can still go around and clear out hordes and bandit camps. They just threw on a hammy ending ignored all of the bigger ideas they seemed to be working towards. It's the cheapness of how they wrapped things up which is the issue. So it's not like I am looking for things to be wrapped up neatly and with a happy ending. Definitively the best story in a video game ever. No, this isn't like a Last Of US situation where it's intentionally leaving things unresolved as to leave us with the weight of Joel's decision. Did I miss something?Īs far as Sarah, sure she failed but Decon said they were going to link with Nero and etc where she would have better equipment and they will never give up, etc etc. The end of the world as we know it really sucks and there's no happy ending for anyone. They set that up like there would be some big reveal but that really went no where. Which would have been an interesting addition to the whole zombie genre. For example, it seemed like Sarah was going to potentially come up with a cure, but that went no where. Were they intending to release DLC or a sequel because everything feels so unresolved. I thought maybe it will all tie together at the end but of course it didn't. Which kept me going to see it through the end despite how much things started to drag and get ridiculously melodramatic. The game started out good and set up some interesting game play mechanics, and the story seemed to be going in interesting places. Not trolling, just don't have anyone to discus the game with as my friends avoided this game.
